Gifts and Groups

Now that the Christmas gifts have been given I can share with you what I made.  Only made two gifts this year.  Sigh.  It is what it is.

First is one of the table runners I started earlier.  For my brother and lovely sister-in-law.

Next is a pillow for my Mom.  A little curved piecing is always fun!

With some AMH for the back.

Big news!  Dana from the ORBC has started a new quilting round robin group!  We are sending quilts across the country and around the world to each other and each person adds the quilt so when you get it back six to nine months later you have a whole quilt made by all your lovely quilting friends.  How cool is that??  Check it out and join us at Around the Bend and Across the Pond on Flickr!

Inspiration

I have mostly been doing some Christmas sewing lately.  (Shhhh!)
And Christmas shopping.
And Christmas wrapping.
And one day while I was shopping for Christmas gifts online, my fingers clicked their way over to the Fat Quarter Shop and a few days later two fat quarter bundles arrived on my doorstep!
First, some Loulouthi  by Anna Maria Horner.

Then some Lark by Amy Butler.

Enough to cover the whole dining room table!!

So much beautiful inspiration for pretty sewing!
